Bradner Family Geanology
(A special "Sir, Yes Sir!" goes out to Lance Cpl. Joshua Bradner of The USMC! Cpl. Bradner came across my website, and emailed me asking if I thought we were related. I corresponded
a few times with he, and his father. As best I can guess, my great-great-grandfather (or is it great-great-uncle) is Cpl.
Bradner's great-great-great-grandfather! Cool huh!! (But I'm no genealogist, by a long shot! You'll have to ask another
of my new "Sur-name" internet friends, Bernie Bradner in Canada, if (or where) he can find a legitimate connection between
us two. You can go to a great genealogy webpage that Bernie Bradner (no relation :-) pointed out to me, by clicking Bradner Genealogy Webpage! (*note
- A short while after I initial emails, I received another from Lance Corporal Bradner. He informed me he might be assigned
"special duty"(june/2005) in Iraq! Following training, Cpl. Bradner was hoping to be sent overseas to serve as as Embassy
Guard! Congratulations Cpl. Bradner!! (We are very proud to you!! You are in our thoughts and prayers, we pray for you
and your fellow soldiers' safety.)
As far as my roots, I can go back as far as about 1640 (AD - lol:-), to a "John
Bradner" - Wicklow county, Ireland (Son Gilbert - who's son "The REVEREND John Bradner" - came over to the US in 1716(??)
- HIS son "Colville" (married: "Suzannah" - "Oh Suzannah, won't you wait for me - we come from "IRE-Land", with some banjos
on our knees...LOL) WAS A CAPTAIN in the American Revolutionary ARMY!! (Boouhyah!!:-)!! Rock on "Cap"!! (I'll always keep
ya in my thoughts! :-)
(*note - Speaking of the US military, Please take a few moments to write to a member of the
US armed services today!! "Hoooyahhh!!":-)
(*sad note - April 2003 - Please remember in prayer Pfc. Juan Garza (our
friend and neighbor at our first house in Michigan), his family and friends, and ALL the other brave US (and US allies) serving
freedom worldwide. (Private Garza was fallen by a sniper's bullet on 4/8/03, while serving in Iraq. "God Bless you Juan,
Rest in Peace.")
(There have been many others from this area (NW OH, SE MI), we ask you please remember them (And every
American fallen soldier), regardless of where they are from.) (R.I.P. American soldiers....and "Thank you")
