Fri., September 14, 2007 - Birthday Baby!! Rock on! Ro ck Out!! Rock ... !! (Work 2:30 - 11:00pm - so there's not going to be much celebrating going on this year. I don't even think I will be able to see my own daughter on my birthday this year, but at least it's my weekend off, so I should be able to have her come and spend the weekend here! (Woohoo Belated Birthday celebration! Maybe those Applebee gift cards are coming out! LOL!:-)
(*note - RENEWED my D.L.! (Don't forget to do this ya all!) "good picture"! LOL When I got home I called Mz Brown at 'IOT before noon, and requested "All Star" by Smashmouth! (I love the: Hey now! It's your birthday...LOL) Told her I was going to post my DL pic here on Bradner.cc it was so good! She laughed, wished me a "Happy Birthday"! (I whispered to her I was "47" LOL!))
Later in afternoon before work, I went to Kinkos to make copies of Ky's pictures to make a "time-lapsed" portraits/school pic - (newborn, age 1, age 2, ....first grade, 2nd grade, 3rd grade....) It's my "Bday present to myself" (but my mom is helping her with me so much, I'm going to have to give the "Thank You Card" to her! LOL)
(*p.s. Mom also sent "Brownies" with me to work! (Betty Crocker! Alright!) I put them in the breakroom and offered them to the other associates! (2 left by closing! I gave the last one to Mindy Spragowski, whom shares the same birthday as all the rest of us "Spet. 14th babies!" LOL! (note to Mom - many of the associates "wished me a happy birthday", and said "Tell your mom thank you for the brownies, they were very good!" (No problem team! Anything for "Kohl's 253!!)
(as a bonus - I received 3 birthday cards! 1 from Mom and Dad, 1 from Bev and Dave, and 1 from Bonny!! (All with money inside! Woohoo! I love my birthday!! (I can tell everybody else does too! Wooohoo!:-)
(*notice I DIDN'T go to "Hooters" or a "strip club", a "bar", "Nightclub", etc.... Some of the people at our church believe in the philosophy: "Nothin but LOSERS hang out at those places!" (Darn near ready to include ANYPLACE that serves ALCOHOL! :-) I will NEVER patronize ANY of those places EVER AGAIN!! ("You want to go out with me to one of those places - FINE! I'll wait outside! "SEE YA!"!!" :-)
(Me, I'll play concerts only to an "All ages" show - no alcohol!:-)

Sat., 9/15/07 - Sleep in until 9am - go to Kinko's work on a "scrapbooking" project for Kylie (Thanks fot the help mom!) Open the mail - got a "statement of benefits" from United Healthcare services. It showed "Kylie - ambulatory service on 1/29/07 - $323.33 NOT COVERED! (But the sad part is "I don't think all these "hospitals, services, etc.. have MY correct address!LOL!!! I'll be more than glad to pay it, but nobody has even sent me a "Bill" yet! (So I don't know who to make a check out to...or mail it to!) Give Krista a copy of Kylie's "age-progression "portraits and schoolpictures" scrapbook pages! (She said "Thank you very much for the pictures!"). Kylie get her backpack (a little homework to finish), we drive back home. Kylie watch a movie, while I lay down and take a nap. Grammie cook dinner, ded get the steaks ready for the grill! (Steaks on the grill, for Bill's birthday! Krista and Jeff were going to his brother Louie's new girlfriend "Amber"'s birthday party!) Kylie down to Livia's to play until 6 o'clock (dinnertime). Bill ride bike over to RiteAid to buy contact lense cleaner and saline solution. Home, sit in driveway and update website on laptop.
Eat dinner, Ky do homework, shower for church tomorrow. Play dominoes. Bill tuck Ky in bed, stay up do laundry, watch a movie "the breakup"! (LOL).

Sun., 9/16/07 - Bill off work. Bill and Ky to church. Mom and Dad sleep in (mom not feeling well). Ky and Bill home change clothes. Bill drive Ky up to her mom's at 11:00 (Krista was taking her laundry out to her mom and dad's to do - Krista and Jeff's doesn't have a washer and dryer.) Bill home, take a nap, watch some football on TV. Up ear dinner, update websites, watch a movie, to bed.

Tues., 9/18/07 - Bill sleep in. Dad already up and left for golfing! (Go Dad! Go Dad!!) Mom working at the dining room table, on her mother's genealogy - Pearl Durham
Lamonte, Iowa! Mom grew up in a family of William - dad, Pearl - Mom, Siblings - Marilynn (married Gordon - 2 children - Beth and Brad), Willis (married June - two sons - Greg and Doug)), Russel (married Lois - 2 sons - Todd and Tim), and "baby sister" Rae (2 children - Jeff and Amy (Confectionist! Mmmm! "I'd like to see her work in the White House, AND her hubby is a "Wine salesman!" LOL) Anyways, back to my "day's events" for today!
Bill get "www.bradner.cc" guitar out, "Uncle Sam" hat, "People in Glass Cities"" yellow T-shirt, "Gothic Cross" on necklace chain, Extension Ladder, Digital Camera - (Beatifully sunny day!!). Ask Mom to "Please take my picture from the driveway, as I climb up on the garage roof, and pose there with my guitar on, framing the "USA flag/Bradner.cc/Christian Cross" backboard in the center of the picture below me! Mom graciously oblidged and took 4 pictures (giving me time to select and hold my "pose", then counting from 1 to 3 each time she shot a picture (pressing the "shutter release" on the count of 3!! To me, she's the BEST PHOTOGRAPHER IN THE WORLD, AND MAYBE ALWAYS WILL BE!! Thanks Mom, I love you! **See the "Autographed" to: The Cruises promo photo proof below! LOL!**)

Anyways after the "photo shoot", I carried my drumset from the basement to the driveway (I just "had" to ask mom to take another picture, this one with me holding an "american flag" and saluting in front of my drums ready for the "load out"!! LOL!! Back car up, carefully load the drumset into the back seat and trunk, so that they wouold not shift during transport. Bid mom "goodbye" stop at speedway, buy a "diet coke" sodapop, wait a half hour (it was lunchtime, and the church office sometimes closes for lunch.) Stop by "One Day Sign" store - order 4 dozen "American flag/Bradner.cc/Cross" bumper stickers (about $36.00). Jim said he would "email me a proof" with a price tomorrow. I'm looking forward to that!:-).

Finally get to the church, wave "Hello" to the members of "Alano Step One Club" from across the parking lot. Goo inside, ask "Louanne Shcereer" if I could bring my drums in and set them up in the sanctuary, so they would be ready for practice tonight at 7 pm. She said it would be okay. Say "Hello" to Mrs. Whitaker (whose husband Ray (they live down Naomi Dr. from us, across from the schoolhouse, Kylie and I always ride by their house, "salute" at the "amercian flag" they fly on a flagpole in their front yard, wave "hello" to Ray who is sometimes out front working in the yard! Then ride to the schoolhouse so Kylie can swing on the swings while I excersize riding around the "drop-off" lane there! It's always fun!:-) Anyways I let Mrs. Whitaker know that "Ray was on our "prayer request" list in our "Discipleship IV" bible study class on last sunday night. She said "well, please tell your class that "Their prayers worked!" (I ALWYAYS LOVE HEARING THAT, FROM ANYONE! ANYTIME!! ANYWHERE!! "Praise be to the Lord" (book of Ruth, old testament - Holy Bible! :-) After "The Load In", I let LouAnne, and Patricia know that I was done, and leaving until I meet the rest of the praise band at the church at 7 pm - I emailed Perry Johnson - Lead rythm guitar, vocals, and asked him if "My mom and dad could please attend out practice" (You recall, they are leaving for Florida on 9/27, and our performance is during worship service on the following sunday (9/30)) AND if I could "videotape some of our practice" (I hope to "upload it" here to Bradner.cc, on the "Videos/Photos" webpage!). (I also came up with a name for our group....I thought "GOING TO BE GOOD!" would be an "exciting" and "appropiate" nsme for our "Glorifying of GOD"!! *note to reader - Plese let me know your compliments/thoughts/ideas on this through my "Comments/Questions" webpage (the link to it is located at the bottom of each webpage here!). Afterwards I walked over to enjoy a "sit" with the folks from "Alano Step One Club" there on Sylvania Avenue just down the street from the ploice station! There are a "Non-Profit" organization that assists those in recoverying from addictions! They rely on a membership fee, and donations to operate. Please assist them through donations or contributions if you can!) Anyways I met a guy there named "Scott" - told him about Aldersgate's "Idol" fundraiser - he showed me his "Gibson" guitar he keeps there at the meeting hall, even played one of his 15 originals he had wrote - he's recorded two of them! He played me an instrumental song, listened to my "Future Girl" song (siad it sounded like "Trance Techno" you would hear at a dance club! Kewl!) Gave him 2 entry forms - he said "I don't know what I'll be doing on the 13th, for us it's "day by day". So I wished them a "Good Day" waved goodbye, drove home, picked up mail (Mom was taking a nap), updated website on back step, tooka shower, changed clothes, rode my bike to "Family Video" to return a DVD, home, download photos from morning, ediited them, upload 2 to website, eat dinner, leave for practice at 6:30. Practice 2 songs for 2 hours, leave droms there, home, study some of my bible lesson for next sunday, Call Ky tell her "I love you and am proud of you. Please be sure to do all of your homework, Goodnight, sweet dreams" to bed early for work tomorrow. (We have a visit coming up from "Loretta" RVP on October 2nd, and Jim Schuster is starting the "Appearance Audits" for the region next week (I'm sure we'll do well! We have "the greatest team!" :-)

Fri., Sept., 21, 2007 - Whitmer High School - NEWELY REFURBISHED FOOTBALL STADIUM (WITH Brand new ARTIFICIAL TURF!! Kewl!!) - 7 pm - Whitmer Homecoming Football game! ("Bring your Marching shoes, ya all!" LOL)
(PS I did make it to the football field by 7pm, (I had to work until 4:30PM, then had errands to run, pickup t-shirts from Dan Rodgers ("BRADNER.CC BROWNS" jerseys for my daughter and I!!), and a stop at the bank to deposit some money. (I stayed up the night before to "BRADNER.CC Customizing" of my Pearl marching snare drum. (A new "Bradner.cc" decal down the front center of the snare drum (audience side:-) a "US Flag" decal to the left of "BRADNER.CC", and (donations made to the fire department can get you one of these:-) a "soon to be added" CHRISTIAN CROSS to the right of the "BRADNER.CC" decal!! (because of my "late work day" that day, and my "errands" - I missed the 5 o'clock practice (couldn't pick up my sheet music - for "Devil with the Blue Dress" and "Reve Roulen(sp??)" (the slow song for the introductions and announcing of the winners for the 2007 WHS homecoming Queen (King and their court)!! (This one I had "No idea" on, so I just played "Air snare" for most of it! LOL) Congratulations to the winners, their families and friends, and all those who were "nominated" or "otherwise" :-) The performance went "pretty good", all except fot "one of the alumni band"!! (I think you know who I'm talking about....BUT you don't have to mention my name please! LOL) Those Whitmer "Marching Panthers" are definetly a very talented group of young adults! (Like I told "Jay Bershback(sp??) after halftime: It is ALWAYS an honor and a priveledge to come back and perform with such fine, upstanding, talented -musicans, staff and volunteers!! Toledo Whitmer Marching Band!"
After halftime, I thanked those who would listen (AND accept my APOLOGIZES! LOL!), packed up my snare, bracket, sticks, etc... and headed over to Handel's to "celebrate" with an ice cream cone!! (AND MAJOR BONUS: The Panthers won the game! In OT over Toledo St. Francis!! Kewl!!)
Home, carry in equipment, update website on back porch (I did this again the following night (sat.), but "THOSE NEIGHBORS NEXT DOOR" were "working on their cars" and "burning another campfire" until way after 9pm - which makes me wonder - "are they going to burn those things all fall! (last fall I asked them: "Please don't burn anymore campfires in your driveway, the smoke drifts over here and gets in the house - it not only aggravates Kylie's (and my mom's) asthma - but it keeps them awake as well" (*besides that it makes my throat itch, and I cough a heck of alot more, than I do from cigarettes, and my clothes stink worse!) Jeff did let it burn out eventually, so, were still neighbors. (LOL) (Does that again though, I'll tell their landord about it, Tim Schloz. (Tim - the son who is the "Manager" of the property. He usually says: "If you don't like it, then call the police" Boy! That's just the guy I WANT To RENT from! NOT!!)

After I volunteer for 3 hours, I go pick up Ky, back to mine and her's home (It's our first weekend alone "FAll/winter 2007/08" (We're planning a saturday night visit to Ortner's, then home early, into bed. to get up for church the next morning!)

We watched it together on the floor of the family room, popcorn, sodapop, ice-ees, blankets pillows, lights off and all. I teared up during an especially dramatic part, even thought the room lights were dim, Ky- could see me and asked: "Dad, are you crying!??!??" she lol, I just said it was my cold and "watch the movie":-) Next morning Ky called Livia and we invited her to church and to watch me play the drums. Ky get her dress on, me my shirt, slacks and tie. Livia here at 9 in slacks and a blouse. Drive to church, get there early, 45 minute practice before worship. Ky take some copies of some photos we printed from digital camera down to Livia and thank her and her mom and dad. Bill drive Ky home. Visit with Krista and Jeff. Krista ask Bill to give her $20 for sheet cake for Ky from Krogers (Jeff's mom works there and can get Krista a discoount on it:-), Bill oblige but only because it's Ky's birthday and he has to work at Kohl's that day, so he can't have a party for her himself. Talk to owner/operator Donna Easton (she was very busy, but took about a hour of her time to get my design "just right" (it's her "personal attention" to the customer that makes her successful! I ought to know - remember my sister Bev and Bro-in-law Dave own/operate a "design/engraving shop" in Folsom, CA ("Awards and more by Executive Engravers"! AND it was "Marking Unlimited" that did my first promo item (NOW collectibles, lol! My "Wild Willy" matches, that I had "State Marked" by the copyright office, for rights here in Ohio! LOL! (I still have a couple boxes of them for mementos!!) LOL:-)... purchase 3 mylar stencils for painting logo, etc.. on drum cases, T-shirts, equipment, etc...

While I was heading into the store I saw "George" (WHS percussion section class of 74 - 2nd time I've seen him 3 weeks (and he said he spotted me in my "Uncle Sam" hat at the WHS vs. St. John's football game last friday night at Rogers HS! LOL!) 1st time was at WHS alumni band football game (homecoming at whitmer 2 weeks ago:-)) he was there with his wife "Julie". We talked about our daughters and then checked out an ARCA display that radio station WXKR (94.5 FM) had setup there (for the promotion they were giving away free tix to two races (Hantz group 200) at Toledo Speedway this coming weekend, and a sweepstakes for a "Victory" motorcycle (sweet!)). George and I raced in a "ARCA car simulator" (I finally caught him, passed him and won on the last lap! WhootWhoot!). His wife took our pic, then I emailed it to him when I got home. AS A BONUS, WXKR DJ (10am - 3pm) "ANDI McKAY" was there giving out the free tix and "wolverine" drink coolers. I asked her if she would please pose for a picture with me in front of the ARCA simulator (she politely oblidged! I gave her my "musician" business card, told her of my upcoming "Idol" competition, promised I would get her a copy someday of "SODAPOP" duet with my daughter on CD - so that I could call her up at WXKR and request it for her "ELECTRIC LUNCH" show - (I think she'd have to hear it first though! LOL!!) Woohoo I checked out her webpage! Wow, She is a "cutie"!!;-)

Well, Grant asked me if I could get Norm a job at Kohl's. I told Grant: "I don't do the hiring, but anyone is welcome to come in and fill out an application.")! Beth (and Beth's mom) was going shopping at Kohl's to buy Grant (and Tammy's) daughter Alyssa a "Sweet 16 birthday present"(Novemeber 5th)! (A sterling silver heart necklace, that Beth saw in a Kohl's ad) Talked to Krista on the phone, (to ask her if Kylie would like to invite Livia, (Kylie's friend from my neighborhood here) up to her party (I could take livia back and forth for her). Krista was stressed out about preparing the $200.00 worth of food she had boughten for the party. (Kris said Kylie was upset that NONE of the guests Kylie had invited to her "sleepover" the night before, had shown up (including her cousins Alexia and Brittany). I said I would be sure to be there at 2pm to decorate and drop off the presents (but I would have to leave soon thereafter, to get back home and record "Karaoke" version of "SODAPOP" for Kylie and I to use at our performance, then come back up at 5:30 and pickup Kylie). Kylie and I leave the party, head straight over to Aldersgate UMC, to compete in the "ALDERSGATE IDOL" talent show/fundraiser! (The proceeds of the voting (one dollar/vote:-) will go toward the church's apportionment giving to the "United Methodist Youth Outreach" program!! (I was sorry I had to miss - rookie "prep" on the Aldersgate gig, left me running out of time - sorry honey:-)
(*note - KYLIE was terrific in the "idol contest"!! Her performance was good, and her "audience appeal" wonderful! (She gave such a terrific: "EVERYONE JOIN IN" just before the last verse of "SODAPOP" that the "sing along" by the crowd nearly "wowed" me off my feet! I THOUGHT we should have won....but, Congratulations to the two winners. (They received a "contract" for a performance during worship service! The "adult" category winner, she sang an original "Christian Rap" song (great intro!:-) "B.I.B.L.E....B. ..." LOL), and Autumn was terrific in all her performances (Kylie and I donated a dollar each for the tap dance!:-)
(** I think if they would of had a 3rd category "Duet" or "father-daughter act" - Ky and I DEFINETELY would have won! - BUTT, (lol) ...I just MAY be a little biased! LOL)
EVERYONE performed terrific! (It was nice of everyone to contribute their talents to the fundraiser - which raised over $620.00 dollars! TYVM!! Special Thank You to the judges - Sam Burnett, LouAnne Scherer, and "Simon" (LOL), the Emcee (Mike?), the two soundmen (Paul Schroeder and the other gentleman, who helped put us at ease just before our performance and "Patted us on the back after!", the "dollar bill vote tabulators" (Mr and Mrs Hazlett, and Barb Burnett, the "setup and cleanup crews", and especially "ALL the terrific AUDIENCE MEMBERS" (quite a "loving, generous bunch"! AND "WONDERFULLY TALENTED SINGERS I might add!" (Kylie and I "voted" with at least $10.00 ourselves!:-) I also appreciate Associate Pastor Ruth for taking our picture, and those "well-wishers and "complimenters" for their nice comments after the show (and at the bible study dinner the next night!). The Emcee asked the crowd: "Do you think we should do this again next year?" CROWD: (enthusiastic "YES"!!)
Home, call mom, G & G, bonny (thanks for "kylie's presents" and "the show was great!":-), to bed, bill stay up, update websites, laundry.

But at least my Bible study class' assistant teacher - Tony Edgington didn't say too much in our first class, the night after the game! He just wore his "Championship" T-shirt - that "said enough"!LOL! 10/1/07 - I'm LOL now though - 2 - 2 start (not counting the close loss to Oakland on a last sec FG 2nd attempt! A victory this week (10/7) and we'll definetely be ready for the dolphins on the 14th! The Ravens victory on 9/30 was the sweetest so far though! I think we might kick the Steelers butts in our 2nd meeting coming up! Go Browns! BONUS: Our HS alma mater TOLEDO WHITMER is ranked FIRST in their Division again for the 2nd straight week in a row! In fact they've only lost one game this year - that was the FR game the first week! Kewl! State Finals here we come!! :-)

We had a great discussion and super-closing prayer (we all contributed - I liked Michelle's "..and thank you God for all the "ESTHERS" of the world...and Amy Kreager's:..."Please be with each of us this week lord..") *note - please say a prayer for "Amy Contos" this week - she has personal health concerns and is finding things difficult (being a single mom:-)...also Karen Price's friend "Alice" - whom is having a hard time "accepting muslims"...also my prayer of thanks for the "finance committe coming up with the plan and all the hardwork and volunteering for the "Aldersgate Idol" competition...

(after seeing the devastation in California - NO ONE will EVER again smoke within OUR HOUSE!! (The garage is bad enough - in the winter I will have to always keep the windows on my car rolled up...(kylie's asthma)...and "IF there is a fire" - Loss will be MINIMAL as possible (car, garage, mower, bikes) but hopefully will NOT effect the house!! (And I vowed to NEVER again, SMOKE while riding my bike or walking (a improperly extunguished cigarette can start a fire (as bad as an Arson - which I "Pray" was not the cause of the CA Fires!), only when standing outside (in inclement weather - the garage "smoking area" the ONLY location here at home) Sorry Mom and Dad it took me so long - but after purchasing a UL listed approved 5,200 btu heater from Anderson's ($18.99) (and garage door LOCKS) NO SMOKING IN (around) YOUR TOLEDO HOME EVER AGAIN!! (TARTA, Metroparks, COSI and the Library!!) Also school board (washington local), City Charter Amendment (Mayor Balnce budget 11/15 on web. - "NO", (**should be the "proosed Amendment by Mayor Finkbiener earlier in this year, about "REDUCING City council to "8 MEMBERS" (and like he "volunteered" - cutting his pay by $20,000 :-) - That would "save money AND red tape"!!
BUT, whatever you do Mayor and Council - "Don't cut the POLICE PROGRAMS - DON'T CUT "the bike patrol" / DON'T CUT "the SWAT team hours" / AND "ADD ADDITONAL POLICE OFFICERS" (Increase the size of the force!)***)
(check out Secretary of State of OH website to see just what will appear on my ballot on General Election Day November 2007! (BrooouYahh!)
(***sad note 11/9/07 - Picked up Ky at her mom's, stopped at the TLCPL to get 4 books on "American Indian Dwellings" for her SRE 4th grade Social Sciences "school project" (we started it the night before. I cut a "base" out of OC pink insulation (12"x18"x2") - she "carved a brook" in it, and painted it herself! we added a "backdrop" which she covered in 2 layers of construction paper (top layer being "the clear blue sky":-). She added a "Biography" sheet (name, teacher, class, school, and a self-portait":-), a orange "sun", clouds, drawings of "birds" in the sky, then we scanned a picture of a "Objiwah Wigwam" - made with a covering of "Birch Bark" (she picked the tribe and "style of dwelling":-), she cut out the drawing of the wigwam, and pasted it on the backdrop (to provide a focal-point for "spatial depth"). Then the next day while she was at school the next day, I went over to the "Hobby Lobby" and bought "American Indian" figures (including a horse, "Of course" "of course" LOL). That day after I picked her up from school, we sat at the dining room table. She did her homework (spelling, word search, etc..), and I "detailed" the figures for her (hair, axe, feather). I thought for sure she would want to at least paint "the horse" - BUT, she told me to go ahead and do it, then suggested I paint a "Aborgenian"(??) with grey spots on it's brown hindquarters, and a "black mane", tail, and nose markings.:-) She added "insulation" "bushes" (painted green), typed up with "wordpad" a brief "title, and description" of the "Objiwan Wigwam" and it's construction. The finished a "Bold face, 26 point" "Name Plate" to paste on the front of the base. Below you see the "Nearly Completed" Project in it's stage of preparation as it "left my house" LOL

(*In it's "next to last step to being "finalized" - Nana offered to help kylie "build" the actual scaled down wigwam this weekend, when Kylie goes to stay with her and Papa. (I six-sided "dome", constructed of square balsawood "posts", stuck in the foam base at a "6 inch" circumference circle, with slight angle "leaning in" towards the center. Followed by 6 "crossbeams" glued across the tops of the side supports. Next 6 triangles of toothpicks (pre-facricated:-), glued ontop of the crossbeams, (leaning in to a center point) touching in the center (5" above the base), creating a "psuedo-dome" frame! The final step will be: Covering the frame with strips of brown fabric (to simulate "birch bark"), then "stiffening them" with a coating of lacquer!! WhaaaaLaaaa!! One TERRIFIC "Objiawan Wigwam"!! (And an "A+++++" for Kylie!! Woohoo!:-)
*I custom built a "carrying box" for the display - so it would "slide down in easily", and be able to be transported back and forth to school without damage! (And stored in for "years and years to come" to be shown to KYLIE'S children, when the day comes! LOL!)
Anyways, what I was "noting" about is, we got out of the library at 7:15, and hurried to our "precint polling place" - Emmanuel Baptist High School, on Laskey Road in SYLVANIA OHIO!! (Why we have to vote in a DIFFERENT CITY, I'LL NEVER KNOW!! There is a perfectly good school 5 houses down from me with plenty of room and a church just across the corner from us!!) Anyways we got to the olace to vote at 7:25, walked up to the door to enter, AND IT WAS LOCKED!! The news said "the polls are open until 7:30 pm"!! so we knocked and a nice young gentleman opened the door and let us in. But when we got to the "sign in table" a lady (Lucas county board of elections "volunteer pollster") informed me "The Polls (voting machines) are already closed". (Well, I argued that it was STILL before 7:30! And all these "pollsters" could tell me was "The clock on the wall in here (even though THEY admitted it was 5 minutes fast!!) showed 7:33pm!! SO I DIDN'T GET TO VOTE!! ALL I was trying to do, was do my "civic duty" (during "voting hours" mind you!), AND show my daughter, that ever legal, registered voter, has the "PRIVELEDGE" to VOTE in AMERICA!! THE LAND OF THE FREE!! (Well, honey, evidently not in THIS PRECINT). So, I said one "choice word" about the "current state of democracy in the US", and WALKED out!! Ky and I went back home. She said "Sorry you didn't get to vote dad...I know you were doing it all for me. "bless your heart honey...I'm sorry...I just wanted to show you I am PROUD of the American Election System). Well, for after that...read all the rest above. :-) (***end note**)

Ky surf by her "Mychurch.org" webpage and read the comments (thank me for the birthday greetings I posted on there). (She was on the way to a funeral for a "Toledo Police Officer" (A "Deputy Chief" whom had passed away last week) I told her I had read about that, and I was sorry to hear of her department's loss. While I was talking to her, I was thinking "She looks greatly familiar. I asked her: "Excuse me for asking, but are you "Mrs. Dressel"??" She said: "Yes I am. I'm attending the funeral, another loss in our department." (She had lost her husband, "Detective Keith Dressel", about a year ago, in a tragic shooting, while he was on duty working undercover (Vice/Narcotics division). I told her "I am sorry about your loss.... (pause)....You look great! I can tell you where our umbrellas are, in the center of the store at the back of the "accessories/handbags" department Ma'am". She thanked me, and left to go find an umbrella. (More rain forecasted for later in the day). Soon after that, I explained to "Amanda (Misses department)" who "Mrs. Dressel" was, and that I had seen her in the shoe department. (I also wanted to ask "Danielle" how her two lovely children are...but I don't know her that well, and with her "having to prepare for ANOTHER funeral" (almost a year to the date, as that of her own husbands..) I didn't feel it too appropriate at the time. (I did say a prayer to myself then, for her though. But, I don't think she really needed it...she Looked TERRIFIC! ....
Excuse me, but now I have a suggestion. (I knew I shouldn’t have read any “techno” articles first thing in the morning!) Why aren’t ALL police cars equipped with “MOBILE Automatic Plate Identifier Systems” that are linked to a NATIONAL database? Such a System could automatically “SCAN” the plates of cars in the vicinity of the cruiser…. simultaneously run a “real-time” search for Criminal record… and IMMEDIATELY signal the Officer of: Plate #, Make/model, owner, Outstanding warrants, last location (tie it into GPS system), direction, speed, approximate headings, etc… (and relay same information to dispatcher to “call for back up”). Come on CONGRESS where are you at on FUNDING for this (If a “janitor” can come up with this idea, WE SHOULD ALREADY HAVE IT IN EVERY INTERCEPTOR NOW!!!) HoooooYah!!! (“Let’s “clean up those roads Cronies”!!:-)
(*note - the "scanner" mentioned above, could be a "360 degree/3-axis" electronic "reader"...countinously scanning images around vehicle. Oh yeah, and just before that, I thanked the Ohio State Highway patrol for catching the "stolen vehicle" on the turnpike! Hooyahh!:-)

Quote this!!
