Doesn't mean I agree with every decision of his, and you can bet that next Presidential Campaign I'll be supporting the GOP candidate! :-) (**10/1/08 - During the campaign, I worked as a Lucas County Republican volunteer. I was doing volunteer work at the Lucas county GOP call center (#1 in OHIO), and had the opporturnity to meet, shake hands with, and have my picture taken with "JOSEPH McCAIN" (Senator John McCain's brother)!!) I thanked him for being a veteran, then he told me I should read his brother's book: "Faith of my father". Later I played a marching cadence for "Joe", on the snare drum, as he boarded his "Victory tour: Veterans for McCain" tour bus to head to stops in Michigan. Also said talked that night with former Toledo mayor Donna Owens, Former Ohio State Attorney General Betty Montgomery, and the National GOP campaign committee co-chairman, Jo Ann Davidson! I also attended both a McCain and a Palin Rally in Fall 2008!:-) (And on that note - "Thank you President Bush Sir, I thought you were a "Great President" and will be remembered as so!) Please take a moment (ESPECIALLY before heading out with family and friends, to "Ring in the NEW YEAR (2009 A.D.!!)" (with me) to at least say a "silent prayer" and/or a "moment of thought in honorarium"), to say a prayer for "The Griffin family and friends". (So sadly, they lost 5 family members in a "drunk driver" accident, on a highway here in Toledo, on 12/30/07.) (***6/28/08 note - Judge Linda Jennings sentenced the driver, (Entered an "Alford Plea" to driving under the influence, in a terrible traffic accident that killed 5 members of the same family) to 43 years in Jail.) Also please join us in praying for the "200 people displaced by the apartment buildings blaze" (caused by careless fireworks) in South Toledo (night of 7/5/08). We hope their lives are restored soon. (**AND join us in praying for those in Lousiana and the gulf coast - in the path of this season's Hurricanes and Tropical Storms!! May they find safety, security and comfort, and may their houses and dwellings be protected and "stand tall"!!:-) Something I hope you like is my "BRADNER.ORG website"! (7:30 - 10:30 am!) It's a great organization, a great event for a great cause! (I actually ended up "passing out ballons" to the kids, walkers, staff. I had a "blast"! I want to do it again someday, woohoo!I even used to know a team that walked annually in this: Alicia(former ON'er at Kohl's) and her family! They are called "Tailor's Troopers"! (AND I think they were one of the "top - money raising teams" in the Toledo Area! (Go Tailor's Team! Go Team! Riley:"Go Sissy! Go Sissy!") On Sun., 4/29/07, I walked (as in?: and he "Walks with me, and he talks with me... LOL!!:-) at (and near, the Lucas County Recreation Center, Key St., Maumee, OH - Participating in the March of Dimes: "Walk America 2007" fundraising event!! "Yeah baby....I walked as a representative on the "Kohl's 253 "A" team"!! That's right, that's right!" (Thanks to teamates and former associates Cheryl, Jackie, and Amber, and Amy :-) It was cool! CONGRATULATIONS to Kylie and I's FAVORITE WNBA basketball team! I'm talkin about "THE" DETROIT SHOCK!!! They are playing in the FINALS tonight for the WNBA 2007 Championship!! (You go Women!! You Rock!! You da Ladies!!:-) Speaking some Toledo Sports! How about my high school alma mater, "THE TOLEDO WHITMER PANTHERS!" The varsity football team started out 5-0 in the city league (6 - 1 overall), with a great chance at their first City League Championship (Until a tough 23-24 OT loss to Toledo Central Catholic. 10/26/07) Whitmer just missed getting there first City League Championship (Libbey loss to Clay on final game of season "left them out" by 1 point to Central), BUT have won there first round game in the DISTRICTS! (**Sat. 11/3/07 Victory over Perrysburg! Way to Go Team! One more, and then next on to the Regionals, then STATE!!!:-) You GO PANTHERS!! YOU'RE OUR TEAM!! (*POSTSEASON NOTE - WE are all very proud of THE TOLEDO WHITMER PANTHERS!! You represented team in the District IV finals (and congrats to Donnie Dotti- WHS QB for being Dst 4 Player of Year)!! (Another Toledo "City league" team that played in the State Semi-Finals (Div. II) was Libbey HS. (They did make it to the finals, however, lost the game "at the buzzer"!! Good try Libbey!) Marcy Kaptur, State Senator Teresa Fedor, Toledo Mayor Carty Finkbeiner, Councilmembers, County Commissioner President Tina Skeldon-Wosniak, and ODOT deputy director David Dysard, and John Robinson Block (The Toledo Blade!
